The PTO supports Middleton Elementary by providing funding for supplemental curriculum needs,
extra-curricular enrichment programs and additional building needs not supplied by the district.
ART & SCIENCE FAIRS
In the winter and spring the PTO hosts an Art & Science Fair. The science fair portion has students create and display a presentation based on an experiment or research. Art made during class will be on display in the media center for viewing. All students are invited to participate; all families are welcome to attend and view all of the students' hard work!
LITERACY & SCIENCE GOALS
These goals address specific Middleton needs each year.
CLASSROOM LEARNING SOFTWARE
The PTO funds software programs such as RAZ, an online reading program with interactive ebooks, downloadable books, and reading quizzes; and BrainPOP, an online animated educational site for kids to learn science, social studies, English, math, arts & music, health and technology.

This is an opportunity for your child to participate in a professionally directed play!
KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP
Each year, Middleton holds a Kindergarten Roundup for all incoming Kindergarteners and their parents to familiarize themselves with the school and its functions. This is a very well attended event and PTO pays for snacks for the students and sets up various tables to share information (i.e. School Tool Boxes) with new Middleton parents.
The purchase of this license allows the PTO and Student Council to show movies on movie night.
This is an optional PTO-sponsored event. Teams form a reading club, read a variety of books, and participate in a competition about those books. The intent is to foster a love of reading, introduce the students to books they may not otherwise choose, provide opportunities to work as a team, and to have fun! Learn more about Reading Rivalry here. Additional coaching resources are posted here.
This program provides funds to the Media Center to cover the cost of books, magazine subscriptions and more.
Health & Safety Programs
This fund provides financial assistance to any students who need it for school supplies, field trips, or any other needs.
HEALTH, SAFETY PATROL and PLAYGROUND/RECESS
This program provides financial support to ensure the health office, safety patrol, and playground staff have what they need to assist and ensure the well-being of our students.
The PTO has programs to celebrate milestones like the 5th Grade and Kindergarten graduations. We also show appreciation to all our staff, from the office staff to the custodial crew to each individual teacher.
